Timing your arrival
From Suvarnabhumi the drive is about 1.5 hours; from central Bangkok or Don Mueang allow 2–2.5 hours. Beach Road can be slow on Friday and Saturday evenings, so if you are landing late in the week, a little patience in the last few minutes is normal.
